SEO Episode 49: How to rank multiple keywords from one single article?
It often happens that we wish to target and rank multiple keywords from one single article.
.
Now this is easy when your site has good authority, but what if your site is not an authority ?
.
.
In such cases, I will simply recommend you to use a Plugin called Table of Contents Plus (TOC+). It is completely free and can be found here: TOC+
.
.
How to make it work ??
.
Its simple, Just make sure you use all your sub-keywords as Heading 2, Heading 3 etc. Once you use them in headings, simply add TOC to your blog post.
.
The shortcode to add it anywhere in the post is: [toc]
.
Also try to make sure that you add the table of contents in the initial portions of the blog post.
.
.
The overall benefits are.. Google picks up keywords from your Table of contents and displays them in a much nicer manner on Google search results.
.
I have attached an example snap that shows how Google shows the search results with the use of this plugin. :)
.
.
I hope all this makes sense. :D
